Wired For Wellness: Massage Envy Announces New Digital Campaign
Initiatives Include New iPhone & iPad Apps, Lifestyle Blog
and Enhanced Social Media Efforts -
Scottsdale, Ariz. (June 2, 2011) - Massage Envy, the
pioneer and national leader of affordable and convenient massage
and spa services, announced today the launch of its new digital
campaign which includes free iPhone and iPad apps now available for
download through the App
Store, its Touch
of Wellness blog for healthy living and balanced lifestyle
tips, as well as a ramped up social media strategy featuring Facebook and Twitter experiences
designed to interact directly with customers and fans of the
brand.
"Our whole team of experienced team members, therapists and
members is a wealth of information, not only when it comes to
massage therapy and skincare, but also overall health and wellness
best practices," said Massage Envy Franchising, LLC President and
COO David Crisalli. "Sharing their expansive knowledge, we decided
that by investing in an enhanced digital strategy, we can spread
the word about the benefits of maintaining a balanced wellness
routine and truly enrich the lives of our loyal brand
followers."
Massage Envy's new For ME iPhone and iPad apps help integrate a
wellness routine into everyday life. You can design a custom
massage by tapping on the virtual body's areas of tension, pain or
stiffness. By sliding the scale from one to 10, you can set the
desired level of pressure the therapist should use for the target
areas. Once complete, you can then send the custom massage to your
desired Massage Envy location and request a convenient appointment
date and time.
"We have found that it is not always easy for some members and
guests to explain to their therapists where exactly they feel
pain," continued Crisalli. "With the custom massage feature, it is
simple to point out what parts of the body you want focused on to
receive the best benefits from your treatment."
Additional features of the For ME apps include a location
finder, monthly appointment reminder alerts for members, detailed
information on the types of massage and facial treatments offered
and their benefits, as well as the ability to purchase gift cards
online. The For ME iPad app also offers free access to Massage
Envy's exclusive meMagazine for useful health and wellness
articles. Both apps were created by The Lavidge Company's
interactive team based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Inspired by the belief that everyone deserves a little "me"
time, Massage Envy's Touch of Wellness
blog is the company's new digital hub for healthy living tips,
wellness programs, nutritious recipes, inspirational stories,
fitness routines and more. The design was created by McMurry, one
of the world's leading content marketing providers based in
Phoenix, Arizona.
Massage Envy has also ramped up its social media efforts to
allow the brand to directly communicate with its customers. The
company has established the Twitter handle @massageenvy for its
corporate headquarters and is continuing to interact with fans on
its Facebook page
which now has over 47,000 "likes."
Today, there are more than 680 Massage Envy and Massage Envy Spa
locations, making it the largest system of franchised massage and
spa clinics in the industry. The company also is the world's
largest employer of licensed/registered massage therapists with
more than 16,000 therapists providing over 250,000 massages every
week.
Open seven days a week, each Massage Envy offers convenient
times and locations to fit all its members needs. For more
