Massage Envy Franchising, LLC Opens Its 700th Clinic
National Leader of Massage and Spa Services Has Opened 45
Clinics Since January 1st
Scottsdale, Ariz. (September 29, 2011) -
Massage Envy Franchising, LLC -- the pioneer and national leader of

announced today it has opened its 700th clinic in the U.S.,
bringing the total number of openings this year to 45 and
surpassing the number of openings in 2010. With 70 franchises sold
in 2011 thus far, additional openings are expected before year
end.

The 700th clinic is a Massage Envy Spa located at 1686 Hill Road
North in Pickerington, Ohio. It is owned by Chad Warner and Heather
Gray, who also own three additional Massage Envy clinics in
Columbus (Bethel Road), Gahanna and Westerville, Ohio. The
Pickerington clinic opened its doors on September 20th, but will
have an official grand opening in October. With the addition of the
Pickerington clinic, this brings the number of Massage Envy
locations in Ohio to 19.
"We had no idea our Pickerington location would be the 700th
Massage Envy clinic to open. It was very exciting news," said
Warner, who became a franchisee in 2007. "The Pickerington location
has been anticipated within the community, because we have many
current members and prospective members who reside in the area. In
the few days since opening the Pickerington location, we've already
seen a steady flow of new and existing members," he added.
Massage Envy also recently marked another milestone when it
opened a Massage Envy Spa in Sioux
Falls, South Dakota - the 44th state in which the brand has
established a presence. In addition, Massage Envy recently signed a
new multi-unit regional development agreement in Alaska with Gregg
and Debbie Olsen. As the largest system of franchised massage
clinics in the industry, Massage Envy's average unit volume
surpassed $1 million this year and the company experienced
year-over-year growth of 25 percent.
To fuel additional growth, the company is looking for specific
franchisee candidates who have the ability and the desire to learn
and follow a system that ensures value and customer satisfaction.
Qualified franchisee candidates should have business sales or
management experience, but do not need to have a massage therapy or
spa operations background. They also should possess a minimum net
worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $150,000. Massage
Envy and Massage Envy Spa franchisees can expect their initial
investment to range from approximately $343,000 to $568,000,
including the franchisee fee.
