Say Goodbye to Wedding-Planning Stress

You’re getting married! Congratulations! But with all the excitement and joy, comes no small amount of stress. So how to handle all the prep for your and your fiancé’s big day without falling prey to tension?

Here are some suggestions to help you stay calm during this hectic time:

Work it out. Literally! Make sure you keep a regular exercise regime to help you sweat out your stress. You know it will make you look better, and it also will help ease any tension you may be feeling, while it releases endorphins. Maybe the two of you can even work out together!

Meditate about it. Practice some yoga or meditation to learn breathing techniques that offer a nature way to relax and de-stress. In addition, the stretching is a great way to encourage relaxation, while improving your flexibility.

Sleep on it. A good night’s sleep is essential at any point in your life, but when your stress levels go up, it becomes even more important. Carve out a bedtime routine to help you get some regular zzz’s.

Massage it away. Want the ultimate in relaxation? A massage is a great way to relax when wedding planning gets you down. Work out your stress with a deep tissue massage or simply opt for some indulgence with Massage Envy Spa’s Sugar Foot Scrub Therapy.

Pamper yourself. On its own or paired with a massage, a facial is another way to not only give your skin some much-needed therapeutic attention, but also help you find some calm overall.

Stress can impact not only your mood, but your overall health. Try any and all of these suggestions to keep your mind and body functioning at their best. Your wedding is supposed to be one of your happiest days, and it can be if you make sure to take care of yourself and feel good.

  1. My favorite suggestion is to work it off and the massage. I know that when I was helping to plan my wedding those two (2) things really helped me stay on track with my daily life and the addition of planning our wedding.
