Remember Your Resolutions?

The party's over, the dip has gone bad and the new year is under
way. Unfortunately, your resolutions seem to be quickly becoming
near-distant memories as well. But it's not too late to resurrect
them. Here are the top tips from the University of Maryland Medical
Center to stay motivated all year long:
Write them down and share. Don't keep your
resolutions secret. The more people who know, the more there are to
keep you accountable-and applaud you on your progress.
Take it slow. Don't expect to lose 20 pounds in a
month or get your fi nances under control over a weekend.Make
small, incremental goals that will take you throughout the
year.
Get back on the horse. Accept that there will be
slip-ups. Don't waste time beating yourself up. Just start up again
tomorrow.
Reinforce positive behavior. When you meet your
goals, celebrate and reward yourself! Just be sure to choose
something that will make you happy and won't counteract your
progress. In other words, if you're trying to lose weight, don't
reward dropping a dress size by bingeing on ice cream. Instead, why
not book a massage?
