Dolly Wallace brings to the Massage Envy Safety Advisory Council a wealth of experience as a massage therapy practitioner, advocate for the 90,000 therapists of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and visionary and leader in the massage therapy profession. As a licensed massage therapist, she is a strong advocate for the fair regulation of the massage therapy profession. During her 30 years of experience as a full-time massage practitioner, she has held several senior-level positions on the AMTA’s National Board of Directors, to include serving as its National President from 2017-2018. Dolly also served as Trustee on the Massage Therapy Foundation's Board of Trustees from 2012-2014 and again 2018-2019. Since March 2019, she has served on the Board of Directors of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork where her work and that of the organization focuses on elevating the profession through encouraging excellence in schools, continuing education, therapist competency and high standards. Dolly received her certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and license through the State of Michigan. Today, Dolly maintains her massage therapy skills and day-to-day connection with the profession through her work with her husband at the Wallace Chiropractic Center in Muskegon, Michigan. A native of Michigan, Dolly was instrumental in establishing the education and professional standards and licensing requirements for massage therapists in Michigan. Dolly remains a tireless advocate for massage therapy as a part of integrative care. She has published articles in The Pain Practitioner, the quarterly publication of the American Academy of Pain Management. Additionally, Dolly has been awarded the AMTA's National Distinguished Service Award, AMTA's National Outstanding Volunteer Group Chair Award for Government Relations, and Florida Chiropractic Association's Massage Therapist of the Year Award.
