AMTA Opens October Application Window for $100,000 in Massage School Grants Funded by Massage Envy

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and EVANSTON, Ill. (September 29, 2026) — The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the largest nonprofit professional association serving massage therapists, massage students, and massage schools, today announced that applications open October 1 for the ninth round of massage school grants funded by Massage Envy, a national leader in skin care and the nation’s No. 1 provider of massage in the U.S. collectively across its network.

During this round, AMTA will award ten $10,000 grants to help massage schools attract, educate, and graduate the next generation of massage therapists.

The fall grant cycle continues a significant expansion of the program in 2026, with 10 grants offered in both the spring and fall grant cycles, up from five per cycle in prior years. The $100,000 available this fall will bring Massage Envy’s total funding of the program to $550,000.

“This program represents a meaningful, long-term investment in massage education and the future of the profession,” said Todd Schrader, CEO of Massage Envy Franchising. “Doubling the number of grants this year means more schools can benefit from the program and more future massage therapists can be supported on their path to rewarding careers.”

Accredited massage schools interested in applying for a grant should complete an online application on AMTA's website, detailing how the grant would help support their school and students. Applications will be accepted October 1–31, 2026.
