Massage Envy Launches New Ad Campaign “Making The Best of Every Body”

March 21, 2017

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Massage Envy has launched a new advertising campaign focused on a simple idea - that whether you’re 17 or 70, caring for your body is an important part of reaching your personal best, which allows you to do more of what you love to do. And in a first for the brand, massage therapists and estheticians employed by Massage Envy franchised locations will help deliver the message.

The “Making the Best of Every Body” campaign celebrates the positive benefits of total body care with a two-pronged communication approach. The first set of ads in the new campaign highlight the value of Massage Envy membership, which comes with services that range from massage to skin care and, coming soon, innovative services like stretch therapy. These ads show a diverse range of people being active and doing things they love to do. To reinforce the message that body care is important for “every body,” the ads feature people who get physical and emotional benefits from massage, including extreme wheelchair athlete Aaron Fotheringham.

The second set of ads in the campaign debut a new approach for the brand, featuring some of the more than 25,000 massage therapists and estheticians employed by franchised locations, who help members feel and be their best every day.

“Our services truly can make a difference for people of all ages and from all walks of life,” said Massage Envy CMO, Debbie Gonzalez. “This campaign celebrates individuality and is a call to action for everyone to take care of their bodies so they can be the best version of themselves and enjoy more of what they love to do.”

The brand’s latest campaign also will serve as a platform to launch its stretch therapy and new skin care services, including chemical peels and Microderm Infusion™ treatments coming to Massage Envy franchised locations later this year.

The campaign, created by the digital transformation partner SapientRazorfish, will run on TV, digital and social media. Nick Moore, executive creative director at SapientRazorfish, said the idea is bigger than a TV ad or social post and will play out over multiple touch points throughout the year.

“Working with Massage Envy gave us the opportunity to fundamentally help reimagine how they engage with their customers in a way that can literally benefit everybody,” said Moore. “We were truly inspired by the talent and the heartfelt commitment of Massage Envy therapists and estheticians to put their customers at the center of everything they do, as well as by the stories of what all kinds of people can achieve.”
